Kate Wood
Through sport I developed, or at the very least, helped hone my skills in business. I believe given the right sporting opportunities we can also create our future leaders. Team work, grit, pushing through challenging situations and mentoring all relate to sport as much as they do the boardroom.
Kate is an experienced corporate wellbeing professional, currently leading Inclusion for HSBC Hong Kong. Kate has over 10 years of experience in financial services in Asia Pacific, where she has led teams across risk, legal and operations - more recently pivoting into people roles.
Kate has a keen interest in supporting community partners and has previously sat on the board of Hong Kong Scottish Rugby Club, alongside leading their senior and junior netball and lacrosse sections.
Alongside her work on the board at WISE, Kate is a co-founder of The Impact Collective, who in 2025 hosted Hong Kong’s only all-female trail run, fundraising for WISE’s school programmes. Kate is also the co-chair of the Asia Neurodiversity in Business Alliance (ANBA) and the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) DEI working group.
Aside from her work in the corporate arena, Kate is a qualified personal trainer with a speciality in pre and post-natal and a mental health first aider. Kate is passionate about sports and alongside her work Kate enjoys strength training, running and muay thai.
Kate is originally from the UK however has lived in Hong Kong for 15 years along with her husband Rory, two daughters CJ and Minnie and miniature dachshund, Beau.
